Torino 2006 A Local's Guide to the Winter Olympics," (Wing Span Press) is the winner of the www.PubInsider.com "Fresh Voices 2006 Book Awards" in the Travel Guide category.
PubInsider.com has announced Winners and Finalists in their "Fresh Voices 2006 Book Awards" competition.
"Torino 2006 A Local's Guide to the Winter Olympics," by James Sajo, is the winner in the Travel Guide category.
Last year, USA Book News named it a Finalist in their "Best Books 2005" competition.
The book is a pocket sized guide designed to help visitors to next month's Winter Olympics. Sajo, an American freelance writer, has lived in Italy more than 13 years. His experience writing about Italian travel, sports, cuisine and culture provided the tools for a comprehensive book that will help visitors enrich their Olympic experience.
Sajo also participated in the Italy-wide Olympic Flame Relay last week, bearing the Torch some 500 yeards near his home.
The book sells for $10 or 8 Euro and is available at overlookedbooks.com, or amazon.com. It is also in selected bookstores in Turin.
