EVENT LINEUP ANNOUNCED FOR WINTER 2004 – 2005 AT SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN RESORT
Snowshoe, WV – If the best skiing and riding terrain in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast is not enough of an enticement to visit Snowshoe Mountain Resort, why not make plans to be a part of one of the Resort’s spectacular events for the 2004 – 2005 Winter Season? Snowshoe Mountain’s Events and Animation Team has come up with a list of reasons to visit the largest resort in the region every week.
Prepare to test your skills of endurance on the slopes March 18th and 19th when Race Around the Clock – The Snowshoe 24 marks its second year. Skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels are invited to be a part of the only 24-hour ski and snowboard race in the country. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better with two different courses, new categories and more great prizes including more than $5,000 in cash for the top finishers.
“The Snowshoe 24 is just one of the many events we offer all winter long here at Snowshoe Mountain Resort,” says Snowshoe Mountain Events and Animation Manager Jason Riley. “We’re constantly looking for ways to build on our winter offerings and I think this year’s events schedule is one of the best yet.”
Two crazy weekends will collide February 3rd through February 5th when the Jose Cuervo Games of Winter are combined with Super Bowl Weekend. Start off the weekend with on-slope games as part of the legendary Jose Cuervo Games of Winter, one of Snowshoe Mountain’s most popular winter events, and keep the party going into Sunday with the Super Bowl Bash in The Connection Night Club.
Back by popular demand, Captain Morgan’s Bartenders Classic returns to Snowshoe Mountain March 6th and 7th. If you’re in the food and beverage industry, this is the event for you. Parties, live entertainment, the Bartender’s Classic Ski and Snowboard Race and the Bartender’s Olympics make this event one of the most fun of the year.
The best of the best will show off their skills during the Second Annual Southeast Ski and Snowboard Festival scheduled for March 10th and 12th. Rail competitions, slopestyle and the pro/am demo are just some of the activities planned.
In addition, Snowshoe Mountain Resort offers special activities during all holidays along with college spring breaks, demo stops and value seasons when the skiing and riding comes at a discount.
